Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. In addition to being a part of his Road Trip role, he was also a part of The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. Also, he's appeared on 22 TV shows including Breaking Bad Supernatural scrubs lost Law & Order among others. Qualls has fought Hodgkin's lymphoma since he was 14 years old. After two years of treatment, the cancer is now in remission. The treatment, however, at such an early age caused a significant impact on his body. It also slowed his development. Once he started acting financial security seemed to be his ultimate goal as the experience of poverty was a constant throughout his early years. When he was interviewed, he said that if I do not have financial stability or I find myself feeling out of control in the world I will feel miserable. He looks back on his early years, and is driven by the desire to act against bullying. "Cruelty breaks me heart," he said. His ideal role in film as well as in real life is that of father. Yet he confesses "Directors don't cast my in the roles I'm in." One day he'd like to have a child of his own and be able to spend much less time and energy to his profession and more time to his son.
